The canon: Jaye is a Brown University philosophy graduate who doesn't actually care to do anything with her life. She instead lives in a trailer that looks like the inside of Genie's bottle and works retail, despite the fact that her family is pretty well off and she could do better. Her mother Karen is an author, father Darrin is a doctor, older sister Sharon is a lawyer and brother Aaron is a scholar in the arts of comparative religion. Her best friend's Mahandra, who is just as snarky as she is.
Oh, and then there's that whole thing where inanimate objects start talking to her. It starts with a smooshed-face wax lion and then it's a brass monkey bookend, and then it's more and more until she has a small collection of stuffed animals etc. because they keep talking. When they tell her to do something, she has to do what they say. It always turns out better for the people she's helping/hurting, but comes back to bite her in the ass a lot. If she doesn't do what they tell her, she'll be annoyed out of sleep by their singing or in a couple cases, what's supposed to happen will actually happen and it'll make Jaye feel worse.
Tweaking canon: Same deal, only in high school. There's no Eric, no job at Wonderfalls, but she's solidly on the way to it. She's also made comments about having already applied to Brown.
About Jaye: I am willing to put her up to just about anything. *eg* No one knows about the animals, save for Lorne, so while you can think she's crazy, you can't know what's up with her. I also put out the offer that if you need Jaye to suffer some sort of humiliation in order to further your own plot? Such as if you need an animal to tell her to do something so it helps you? Feel free to contact me and take advantage of it.
One note: in her icons are a couple of the animals. Other characters can see them, but can't hear them, so you shouldn't respond to the animals unless it's OOC. However, feel free to tell Jaye how insane she is for talking back to them.
